Automotive technicians, more commonly known as mechanics or service techs, are experts on car engines, suspension systems and electronics. These automobile professionals maintain and repair cars and light trucks at service shops, dealers and parts stores. They work a 40-hour week, although their shifts can include evenings and weekends when involving working customers.
